Lice Policy

Posted Date: 10/28/26 (09:52 AM)

Hello Eastbrook Families!

We would like to inform you that the Eastbrook Community School Board has officially approved an updated lice policy, which is now in effect across the district.

Under the approved policy, students found to have active lice or nits (eggs) will be sent home from school and may not return until no active lice or nits are found.

We understand that head lice can happen to anyone and is not a reflection of a family’s cleanliness or personal hygiene. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to maintain a healthy learning environment for all students.

We encourage families to check their child’s hair regularly and notify the school if you have concerns about possible lice exposure.

If you have questions regarding this policy, please contact your school nurse.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership!
