A Note from Mr. McKim

It is certainly hard to believe that we are nearly a quarter of the way through our school year!  With our week-long Fall Break coming up this month, October will be an exciting and busy time here at ENE.
We are looking forward to some special events here at the building in this shortened month, and the opportunity we have to work with our families. We would love to have many of you join us for Parent-Teacher Conferences & our upcoming “VIP Days,” as we value your presence and the impact you have in our school community!  Please consider connecting with us at these Eastbrook North events.

A BIG thank you to our families who helped make September 17th a success! Nearly all of our students participated in some portion of this Synchronous Virtual Learning and over 98% met attendance requirements for the day.  We appreciate support for this alternative learning opportunity and the ability to continue providing ongoing professional development for our teachers/staff.

ENJOY THE PICTURE!
A HUGE “Thank You” to all who participated in the chocolate sale a few weeks ago.  The fundraiser was very successful and will go a long way to helping provide opportunities for our students at ENE.

As always, thank you for your trust & partnership in your student’s education. Please feel free to email or call the school at any time with questions, concerns, or celebrations to share.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

We kicked off October guidance lessons a little early by visiting classrooms to talk about community. Students explored what makes up a community and the many benefits of belonging to one. We also discussed how building a strong community requires kindness, respect, and teamwork—where everyone contributes and does their part. Families can help by modeling these skills at home—showing kindness in everyday interactions, practicing respectful communication, and working together to solve problems. These small moments at home strengthen the values we’re learning at school. I am so happy I get to be a part of the Eastbrook North Elementary community! ~Mrs. King
