PRINCIPAL MESSAGE

September is a month in Indiana, like many others, when we are unsure of what the weather will be each day. Just as the weather is unpredictable, so can our days be. We have a choice each day to make the most of each opportunity and moment. Whether the day goes as planned or something unexpected happens, we can focus on what matters most. WHO are we becoming, and how can each situation shape us to be a better version of ourselves? I am so pleased with how well the year has begun. I know we will continue to make the most of each opportunity, working together with students, families, and the ESE team.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

• All Pro Dad Breakfast - For those of you who are new, APD breakfast is a time in the morning before school when dads come with their students to eat breakfast, interact with their children, and hear a lesson on parenting.

• The Big Idea - Our monthly free grocery give-away happens each month on the third Wednesday of the month. Pull into the back parking lot and enter through door 7. It is free and open to all Eastbrook families.

Counselor Corner

We have a Character Champion word for each month, where students are taught the word and how to apply it in and out of school. At the end of the month, teachers choose a student (champion) from their class who is an exceptional example. To honor those students, we celebrate on the last Thursday of that month with cookies and games!

September's highlight is TEAMWORK.

Fun Friday

We’ve started FUN FRIDAYS for our 4th- and 5th-graders!

They’re able to partake in fun Fridays if…

Assignments are complete for the week (Friday-Thursday)

No tardies

In attendance for at least 4 of 5 days (make-up work complete). No D’s or F’s for the grading period

No referrals to the office

September 17 - Elementary E-learning Day (Midterm)

September 23 - PICTURE DAY; PTO Meeting @ ESE @ 6:30 pm
