A Note from Mr. McKim

I truly hope you all enjoyed some time away from school over Spring Break and were able to relax and recharge as we head into this final two-month push!  It’s hard to believe we are already in our final quarter here at ENE, but as they say “Time flies when you’re having fun!”

This fourth quarter will be a busy one with the addition of baseball/softball to many of your households along with the focus on students' opportunities to shine on end-of-year ILEARN & other summative assessments.  My challenge to all students, staff, and parents alike is that we would FINISH STRONG!

Thank you again for your trust and partnership in your student’s education.  Please feel free to email or call the school any time you have questions, concerns, or celebrations to share.

IREAD3 Results
Congratulations to our amazing 2nd & 3rd Graders for their awesome efforts on this assessment. While state scores are currently embargoed, we are excited to share that preliminary results show over 90% of our 3rd graders have now passed this test while over 60% of our 2nd graders have demonstrated proficiency by either passing or scoring in the “On-Track” level on the IREAD-3 Test!

All 2nd-3rd graders who have not yet passed will get the opportunity to test again during the next assessment window beginning May 11th.

ILEARN Testing
During the week of April 20th, our 3rd-5th graders will be taking the ILEARN standardized tests.  We are excited for our students to get to show all they’ve learned.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

April is Autism Awareness Month. Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), includes a wide range of conditions that impact social skills, communication, and behavior. Each individual on the spectrum is unique, with their own strengths and challenges. As a school, we are committed to supporting you and your child in any way we can. Additionally, there are many online resources available for families. Below are a few websites you may find helpful:
