Updated Art Club dates for October and INKTOBER!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to share that Eastbrook Middle School has had a fantastic turnout for Art Club this year! Our theme is Optical Illusions, and students have already created some amazing work in just two short meetings. Below, you’ll see three examples of what we’ve accomplished so far. Some art club members took their illusions home to complete these. Please remind them to bring them back so they can be hung in the middle school showcase.Â
INKTOBER
Looking ahead, October will bring even more opportunities for creativity. Along with continuing our optical illusion projects, we will also be participating in the Inktober Drawing Challenge. Inktober was created in 2009 by artist Jake Parker to encourage artists of all ages to draw daily, build strong habits, and improve their shading and value skills. Students will be working from a word prompt list that inspires independent practice and creativity.Â
The Inktober prompt list is below for your reference. Students can begin drawing now and turn in their work by the 31st of October.Â
Thanks so much for your continued support and participation!
Mrs. Pinkerton
