Holt Photo of the Month
The 6th graders read about the Wright Brothers and their determination to pursue their dreams of flight. Through a graphic novel and a biography, students worked on explaining how multimedia adds purpose to the main theme. Some students took the time to build an original Wright Flyer. Most models were built from cardboard, toothpicks, and popsicle sticks; they look amazing!

FACS
I am happy to announce that in FACS, all students have completed making a pin cushion without injury! Several students told me how they found sewing to be relaxing. I am glad that I have the opportunity to share this lost art with this generation. We are now moving on to the sewing machine and making pillows!
